Welcome to the Santa Fe Trail!

During the 1800's the Santa Fe Trail took people and goods back and forth  between Independence, Missouri and Santa Fe, New Mexico. It took about 8 weeks to make the trip. The trip was dangerous to say the least! Storms and attacks from Indians and bandits were commonplace.

When the railroad was built, it replaced the Sante Fe as far as moving goods and supplies West.
