Welcome to Blue Springs Missouri's
Burrus Old Mill Park!

Blue Springs Missouri was an important stop over for the migration of settlers on their westward journey. Named after a spring from the Little Blue River, "Blue Springs" became an ideal staging area before the big trip west.

With the presence of water and the need for supplies led to the construction of a grist mill and settlement and the site of the City's Burrus Old Mill Park, on Woods Chapel Road. Today there is a water wheel that still is turning away.
